Each LSM6DS3 Breakout is designed to be ultra-flexible and can be configured specifically for many applications. With LSM6DS3 Breakout, you will be able to detect shock, tilt, movement, tap, count steps, and even read temperature! The LSM6DS3 can read accelerometer data up to 6.7kS / s and gyroscope data up to 1.7kS / s for more accurate motion sensing. As mentioned earlier, due to the built-in FIFO of the LSM6DS3, this breakthrough also buffers up to 8kB of data between reads, other host sensor and driver interrupt pins. Each pin on the LSM6DS3 is disconnected, power and I2C functions are on one side of the board, and SPI functions and interrupt outputs are controlled on the other side of the motion pins. Keep in mind that the LSM6DS3 is a 3.3V device, so providing voltages greater than ~ 3.6V may permanently damage the IC. For any development platform working at 5V, a logic level shifter is needed.
